Welcome to a New Year of Preschool!!

Dear Families,

Welcome to a new year of preschool!  My name is Kari Broughton and I will be your child’s preschool teacher this year.  I hope that you are as excited as I am about having your child in my classroom!
A little information about me: I graduated from UK and this will be my fourth year of teaching preschool here at the Village. For those of you that are returning from last year, I am VERY happy to be back and have your kids again! I enjoy playing soccer, working with horses, and also spending time with my dog Kash and my rabbit Josie.
In this envelope you will find a lot of useful information about Open House, phase-in days, and address verification forms with bus information.  Please pay close attention to these dates and make any and all changes necessary on the dates listed.
As a part of the preschool program, all preschool children are required to have a home visit before school starts.  I will be calling soon to set up a time to meet with you and your child. The home visit typically lasts 20-30 minutes and is a great way for you and your child to get to know me and answer any questions that you may have about preschool.  You and your child will also get a chance to visit the classroom before school starts by coming to our Open House night, on Monday August 26th from 4-6 p.m.  You may bring the school supplies to Open House Night if you would like to get them off your hands.  If you have lost or misplaced the list, it can be found on the back of this letter.
If you have any questions about any of this, please feel free to call the school at 887-5358.  I look forward to meeting all of you!

Sincerely,
Ms. Kari

*Reminder: Preschoolers do not start until the 28th and 29th of August, a full 2 weeks after the rest of the district. Preschool is also only four days a week, Tuesday-Friday.
